According to the Centers for Disease Control, people who are immunocompromised may receive an additional “booster dose” or fourth dose of the COVID vaccine.
If an immunocompromised individual received the Pfizer vaccine, then individuals 12+ may receive the booster/fourth dose five months after their “additional primary dose” or third dose.
Immunocompromised individuals who received the Moderna vaccine that are 18+ may receive their booster/fourth dose five months after their additional primary/third dose.
At this time, booster/fourth doses are not recommended for those who received the J&J vaccine.
Full CDC guidance is available online. As always, please consult with your physician if you have any questions regarding your particular medical condition.
Booster/fourth doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available at any of Curchill County's February vaccine clinics.
