Ballot Preference Form Mailed to County’s Registered Voters

Voting with paper ballot

With the passage of Assembly Bill 321 during the 2021 Nevada State Legislative Session, all registered voters will receive a ballot by mail. If you wish to vote by mail and received a recent letter from the Churchill County Clerk-Treasurer’s office at your correct address with a ballot preference form, then you do not need to do anything.

The Clerk-Treasurer’s Office recently sent the ballot preference form to all active voters in Churchill County.

“Our intention is to ensure we have a correct address for our voters and to get information out regarding the mail ballot preference form,” said Linda Rothery, County Clerk-Treasurer. “Voters who wish to vote in-person and do not want to receive a mail-in ballot can submit the mail-in ballot preference form and opt-out of receiving a mail-in ballot.”

For voters wishing to opt-out of receiving a mail ballot for future elections, please return the ballot preference form to the Clerk’s office as soon as possible. The last day to request to not receive a mail ballot for the 2022 Primary Election is April 15, 2022. Your request can be returned in-person, by mail or email.

Voters can return the ballot preference form mailed to them by:

  • Mail (send to Churchill County Clerk-Treasurer, 155 N. Taylor Street, Suite 110, Fallon, NV 89406)
  • Email: elections@churchillcountynv.gov
  • Drop it off in-person at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, 155 N. Taylor Street, Suite 110 (on the north end of the building)
  • Slip it into one the drop boxes outside the County Administration Building.
  • Visit the Nevada Secretary of State’s Registered Voter Services website and submit the form online at: https://www.nvsos.gov/votersearch/

All registered voters in Churchill County may vote in-person during the published early voting hours or from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, including those who received a mail ballot and did not yet return it.
