Last week, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue notified Gov. Sisolak that Nevada’s Washoe and Humboldt Counties have been named primary natural disaster areas due to recent drought.
Due to their proximity to Humboldt and Washoe, several additional counties, including Churchill, were named contiguous counties in accordance with the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act.
Local Farm Services Agency offices will have additional information on eligibility for emergency loans.
