Churchill Aquatic Center | 333 Sheckler Road, Fallon, NV 89406

This is a sprint triathlon with a 525-yard swim, a 14.5 mile bike, and a 5K (3.1 mile) run.

The Dust Devil Sprint Triathlon is a perfect event for newbies and veterans alike! Since 2008, this event has been a staple in the Northern Nevada multisport community. The bike course travels rural county roads with few turns. The swim occurs within our own Churchill County Aquatics Center which houses a 25-yard pool (no wet suit required). The run course is entirely on paved roads through local neighborhoods.

COURSE MAP

The first wave will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 2nd and 3rd waves expected to begin at 7:50 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. The Churchill Aquatic Center is a 25-yard pool and the entire swim will be completed in 5-feet deep water where the majority of participants will be able to touch bottom as desired. 21 lengths of the pool will be completed.
  • The bike route travels rural roads with some stop signs. Participants are expected to follow all traffic regulations included stopping at any sign that does not have traffic controls provided by the race. All roads remain open throughout the event and participants should be mindful of vehicular traffic and ride accordingly.
  • The run crosses one major intersection and participants may be required to stop and wait for traffic. Volunteers and Search and Rescue will be on site to assist with traffic monitoring. Participants should be aware of traffic throughout the event and be safe.
