The Tenth Judicial District Court encourages parties who are involved in family law matters to consider mediation as an alternative to litigating their case through the judicial system. Parties who are interested in pursuing this option may click on the link below for a list of mediators who may be willing to assist them.
The Tenth Judicial District Court has a Court-ordered Mediation Program for those who may not be able to afford hiring a private mediator. The Court chooses the mediator when a facilitative or brief focused investigation is ordered to determine the best interests of children involved in family law matters. The Court will issue an order to the parties that directs them in responding to questionnaires that are provided and what the fees assessed are. Those who believe they are not able to pay the Court Mediation fees may seek a waiver form from the Court Clerk’s office.
